New web series: Teaser of Divya Dutta’s ‘Chiraiya’ out, story is based on injustice against women in homes

The teaser of Divya Dutta’s new web series ‘Chiraiya’ is out. This teaser raises questions on the injustice happening in Indian homes. This teaser starts with a happy scene of a wedding. A new bride, Pooja, appears to be starting a new life with hopes of a better life, but suddenly a scary twist is revealed, with the bride being shown on the rooftop, sad and in shock. There are tears on his face and injury marks are visible on his body. The story of the series is about a bitter truth behind the wedding celebrations. This series raises the question whether it is right if a husband puts any kind of pressure on his wife after marriage? Marriage is not a license and being silent does not always mean yes. The 20 second teaser is enough to tell how serious and sensitive a subject has been raised in this series.
