Singer and actor Diljit Dosanjh has reacted to the ongoing Kakaroch Janata Party (CJP) protest at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar during a live session on social media. He has clarified that he is an artist and has nothing to do with politics or any kind of protest. Diljit has appealed to the fans to keep him away from these matters. Kakaroch Janata Party has been demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan for some time now regarding the NEET paper leak issue. Fan had asked a question in Instagram Live. Diljit Dosanjh interacted live with fans from his official Instagram account on Wednesday evening. During this, a fan asked him for his opinion regarding the ongoing protest at Jantar Mantar in Delhi. Answering this question, Diljit said, “Where is Jantar Mantar to perform? Brother, keep me away from things like performing. I am an artiste, I am not a leader.” Diljit further said that he has no idea what people think about him, but he wants to limit himself only to the world of entertainment. Everything can never be right in the world. During the live session, Diljit mentioned a line from Guru Granth Sahib “Nanak dukhiya sab sansar, so sukhiya jis naam aadhar”. He said, “Everything can never be right in life. It is not possible to get everything right in this world.” After this, avoiding speaking directly on the controversy, he jokingly said, “Congratulations to those who are protesting and also congratulations to those against whom the protest is taking place. I don’t know much about this.” CJP is demanding the resignation of the Education Minister. Kakaroch Janata Party (CJP) is leading this movement going on at Jantar Mantar in Delhi. This organization was started as a digital satire group, whose founder is Abhijeet Dipke. This organization has been continuously protesting at Jantar Mantar since June 20 regarding the irregularities in the NEET exam and the paper leak controversy. The protesters demand that Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan resign from his post. Had supported the farmers’ movement in 2020. After this statement of Diljit on social media, discussion about his old stand has started. During the farmers’ movement in the year 2020-21, Diljit had openly supported the farmers. He himself had come to participate in the ongoing protest at Delhi border and also provided financial help. However, for some time now he has completely distanced himself from speaking on political issues. In May this year, a social organization had appealed to him to enter politics, which he flatly refused. Diljit, who had already denied joining politics, had clarified his position on the discussions about joining politics on the social media platform X (earlier Twitter). He had written, “My job is only to entertain people. I am very happy in this field of mine.” Talking about the work front, Diljit was recently seen in director Imtiaz Ali’s film ‘Main Vapaas Aaunga’. This film, made on the background of India-Pakistan partition, is being liked a lot in theatres. Apart from this, he is doing music concerts around the world under his ‘Aura Tour 2026’.
