Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan has spoken openly about the upbringing of his wife Kareena Kapoor and his two sons, Taimur and Jeh. At the We the Women event, Saif told that he likes to give his children an open perspective on religion.
According to Saif, he tells his sons that God is one and has many different names. He also shared that he himself is not very religious, but there are always positive conversations about spirituality at home.
He also mentioned a recent conversation he had with his 9-year-old son Taimur, which surprised him.

He said that my mother had taught me and I am teaching the same thing to my children. It is very simple that God is one and He has many names. You worship him at different places. If your religion teaches love and forgiveness towards other human beings, then that is the most important thing.
Used to celebrate Diwali and Christmas in school Referring to his own upbringing, Saif said that he grew up amidst Christian institutions. He spent a lot of time in church and attended schools where the day began with prayer. There children used to pray and after that there were prayers of other religions also. Saif told that during his school days, both Diwali and Christmas were celebrated with equal enthusiasm.

He asked Taimur the difference between religion and methodology. To this Taimur replied that in religion we pray and in methodology we do not do so. Saif was very impressed by this answer of his son. Saif said that he is lucky that both his mother and wife Kareena Kapoor have open minds about these things.
