Salman Khan will return as host for the 20th season of the reality show ‘Bigg Boss’. According to Variety India report, he may start shooting for the new season from September 21.
Before this, Salman Khan is preparing to complete a major part of the shooting of director Vamsi Pedipalli’s upcoming action thriller film. Nayanthara will also be seen in this film. According to the source, the actor’s team is busy coordinating his shooting and show schedules.
Shortlisting and auditions for ‘Bigg Boss 20’ are expected to start soon. The source says that the makers of the show have contacted many well-known TV personalities and initial talks are going on.
Some contestants of the reality show are also being considered for inclusion in the new season. This initiative is being taken keeping in mind the engagement of OTT viewers. Apart from this, some old contestants of the show may also return.

The idea of Bigg Boss was taken from the show Big Brother which started in Netherlands in 1997. This show came to India in 2006. The first host of the show was Arshad Warsi, then stars like Shilpa Shetty and Amitabh Bachchan hosted the show. Salman has been hosting this show since 2010.
