Regarding the death of Haryanvi singer Pepsi Sharma, her brother has made many important revelations. Brother Rishipal says that Pepsi complained of chest pain during the day on Sunday, after which he was taken to the hospital twice. However, after examination the doctors prescribed the medicine.

In the afternoon he had gone to take bath at the tube well located in the farm. After returning home in the evening, he drank shikanji and ate khichdi. During this time, his health suddenly deteriorated and water started coming out of his mouth. The family took him to the hospital for the third time, where the doctors declared him dead.
Pepsi Sharma’s real name was Yashpal Sharma. He was a resident of Dala village in Niwari area of Ghaziabad. He is survived by his wife, 10-year-old daughter and 7-year-old son. He had made a special mark by performing in many Ragni programs with Haryanvi dancer and singer Sapna Choudhary.

I was sitting with friends when I felt chest pain.
Brother Rishipal told that on Sunday, Pepsi Sharma had reached his native village Talala, because he had to go out in connection with some show. After reaching the village, he met his mother and stayed with her for some time. After this he was sitting and talking with his friends. During this time, he felt pain in his chest and body, about which he informed his colleagues.
After examination the doctors gave medicine and sent him
Brother further told – After complaining of pain, his friends took him to the local hospital. The doctors there gave him medicine after examination and told him that there was no serious problem and the condition would get better with rest. After taking the medicine he returned back to the village. After returning from the hospital at around four o’clock, he went to the fields of the village, where he also took a bath under the tube well. After this he returned home again and sat near his mother and started talking.
When the pain increased, the family took him to the hospital for the second time.
According to Rishipal, after reaching home, he also told his mother that he was not feeling well and was feeling pain. Since his mother is also ill, the family decided to send him to the hospital again. After this he reached the hospital with his nephew. On reaching the hospital for the second time, the doctors again gave him medicine and advised that if the problem increased, he should be taken to a big hospital in Modinagar.
After coming home, drank shikanji and then ate khichdi.
Brother said- After taking the medicine he returned home. Even before reaching home, Pepsi Sharma had called her mother and asked her to make Khichdi. After returning from the hospital, he first drank shikanji and told his family that he was feeling hungry. After this, khichdi was ordered for them and they were also asked to bring curd along with it.
My mouth started watering while eating khichdi.
He said – he had just eaten some khichdi when his niece arrived with curd. While eating Khichdi, suddenly water started coming out of his mouth. After this he started rubbing his chest with his hands and his restlessness increased. Seeing his health deteriorating, the family immediately took him to the hospital. However, before reaching the hospital, his condition became critical and he died during treatment.

Pepsi Sharma worked for a long time with many famous artistes of Haryanvi music world. She did many live stage shows with Haryanvi dancer and singer Sapna Choudhary. Apart from this, she also showed her singing skills in many Raganis and cultural programs with Haryanvi singer Rajbala.
Many of Pepsi Sharma’s tunes were very popular among the listeners. Among these, “Patla Dupatta Tera Munh Dikhyay” was especially a super hit. Sapna Choudhary gave brilliant performances on this Ragini on many stages. This Ragini has been viewed more than 1.5 crore (15 million) times on YouTube.

Used to call him Pappy, changed to Pepsi on the request of the judge
Brother Rishipal told – Yashpal Sharma was fondly called “Pappy” in the family and village since childhood. About 20 years ago, when he had entered the world of singing, he was appearing in the court in a case related to a controversy. The name of the person from the other party in the court was “Lauki”.
The brother told that when the judge heard the names of both, he jokingly said that instead of Pappy, keep the name “Pepsi” and instead of bottle gourd, keep the name “Beetroot”. Yashpal Sharma liked what the judge said and he added “Pepsi” to his name. After this, he gradually started gaining recognition in the world of Ragni and folk singing of Haryana by the name of “Pepsi Sharma”.
